Our Creative Journey
Blossom and Timber was born from a time of deep change, love, and a promise.
​​​During the lockdowns, I found joy in upcycling furniture—finally letting my creativity run free. But when I returned to full-time retail work, life got busy, and my creative passions had to take a back seat.
A few years later, my lovely mam was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. In the time we had left together, she made me promise something that has stayed with me ever since: to keep chasing my dreams and to do something I truly love—something creative, something meaningful.
After she passed away, I was caring for my elderly grandparents while working full-time. Then, life shifted again—I was made redundant when the shop I worked in closed down. It felt like the universe was nudging me: Now’s the time.
Around the same time, my dad—who spent most of his life working away in London as a skilled carpenter—decided to retire, following the loss of my mam. We were both looking for something new, something healing. So we teamed up and started Blossom & Timber, combining our strengths and hearts into a little family business.
With his years of craftsmanship, my dad creates beautiful rustic furniture and hand-carved wooden home accessories. And me? I'm learning as I go—sculpting whimsical clay pieces that bring a little charm and playfulness into the home.
Blossom & Timber has given us more than just a business—it's helped us rediscover purpose, connection, and creativity during a time of grief and healing.
